Oberammergau

Innsbruck in Tyrol

Rattenberg – Glass refinery
Rattenberg has been a market place since 1254 and a town since 1393. It’s the smallest town in Austria with 650 inhabitants. The glass refineries are worth a visit.
Stams monastery
Situated approximately 20km west of Seefeld, it was founded in 1275 by Count Meinhard ll of Tyrol and richly equipped with goods. The monastery was rebuilt in a baroque style around 1700, closed years later by the government, but then later re-established.
Kramsach
A visit to the Tyrolean farming museum near to the Kramsach sea landscape will be a great experience. Founded in 1974, the museum has made it its mission to present the living and economic experience of the Tyrolean farming community during the time before agriculture was industrialised.
Lottensee and Wildmoossee (lakes)
Both lakes on the Seefeld plateau are aperiodic, that means that they form at irregular intervals in the spring and are only present for a few months. You are welcome to use them as bathing lakes.
Hall in Tyrol
An all-time popular excursion and shopping town with the historic old town coming from the 12th and 13th centuries. The coin tower is particularly worth a visit (it’s possible to emboss your own coins with a hammer or spindle!), the Hasegg castle, town hall, town museum, as well as the mining museum.
